The coaching carousel each December can get “really complicated,” said Montana State head coach Brent Vigen, with teams looking to fill head coaching vacancies ahead of the early signing day this week and the opening of the transfer portal in January.
Vigen — who was previously reported to be a top candidate for the Washington State vacancy last year — reportedly interviewed and was a finalist for the Oregon State head coaching job last week. The Beavers hired Alabama co-offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard.
