RED CLOUD, Neb. (KSNB) - Red Cloud Community Schools’ board voted Monday night in favor of a paid separation for Superintendent Brian Hof, 5-1.
The payout is valued at $136,000, or around one years salary.
Hof, who has served as superintendent for the district for 14 years, leaves the district amid multiple controversies.
The departure comes as the district continues dealing with fallout from a September incident where a child was left on a bus for over an hour where the school failed to notify the parents their child was missing with a bungled response . The school board has had transparency issues , internal board conflicts including a resignation request and a failed recall attempt .
