EDEN, N.C. — A 33-year-old Eden man has been arrested and charged with multiple felony sex offenses involving a child, according to the Eden Police Department.

Police say James Lee Kallam was taken into custody with assistance from the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office. Kallam was transported to the Caswell County Magistrate’s Office, where he was given no bond.

Investigators charged Kallam with:

Three counts of statutory rape of a person 15 years old or younger

One count of statutory sexual offense with a person 15 years old or younger

The department said the investigation remains active and no additional information is being released at this time.
