HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A retired K-9 officer, which was the first bloodhound in law enforcement service in Harris County, has died.
K-9 Clyde served the Harris County Pct. 3 Constable’s Office as a single purpose search K-9 for several years. The constable’s office says he was responsible for locating and brought many people to safety, including children and elderly citizens.
K-9 Clyde was welcomed to Precinct 3 in 2019. He served for several years before he retired.

"As he grew older, the tough choice was made to retire him from service. Clyde lived out his remaining years with former Pct. 3 Deputy TJ Tolleson, where he truly enjoyed the retired life, as a beloved pet‚" the constable’s office said.
