BALL, La. (KALB) - Tioga High School senior Eli Lockhart is taking a major step toward his future after signing with the Northwestern State University fishing team.
On Dec. 1, the school celebrated the accomplishment with a signing ceremony attended by family, friends, teachers and administrators.
Principal Ben Arrington said moments like this are what make his job meaningful, as there is nothing more exciting for him than seeing young men and women preparing for the next step in their future.
For Eli, fishing has been a passion since he was a young boy. He has always loved being on the water and has worked hard over the years to grow in the sport.
He had special thanks for his parents, Jeff and Teresa, for supporting him in his passion.
