A judge on Monday ordered two men be held without bail for their alleged involvement in the shooting death of a Vancouver man in an apparent robbery gone wrong at a Hazel Dell apartment complex.
Tyrese Hammer, 24, of Beaverton, Ore., and Cristian Russell, 22, of Hillsboro, Ore., made their first appearances in Clark County Superior Court on charges of first-degree murder and first-degree robbery. Hammer is also facing a charge of first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
Investigators say both were involved in the fatal shooting of Jacob Hall, 40, in late October.
Judge Christine Hayes agreed to the state’s request for a no-bail hold and ordered that Russell and Hammer have no contact with each other; a co-defendant, Lucy Montoya; or Hall’s family.
