Right now, the economy's in a slowdown, but inflation has gone down too, according to a new Creighton economic study.
Ernie Goss said our nation's economy has one hand in the fridge and the other in the fireplace.
“The refrigerator, of course, is the economy slowing down. The fireplace? That's the inflation,” Goss, Creighton economic expert, said. “The Fed is sitting there looking like, ‘What the heck are we going to do?”
He said in an effort to address this, the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates from 7% to 6.75%.

The study found the manufacturing and agriculture industries are taking a big hit.
“Job losses, slowing manufacturing economy, tariffs, exports and imports are both down.
