LOUISVILLE, Ky. ( WAVE /Gray News) – A child in Kentucky was killed in a hit-and-run crash Sunday, according to authorities.
The Louisville Metro Police Department said officers responded to the Iroquois neighborhood around 3 p.m. for the report of a vehicle collision on Taylor Boulevard.
At the scene, police said they found a crash involving several vehicles.
Officials investigated the scene and collected witness statements. They determined a car had been driving north on Taylor Boulevard near Iroquois High School at a high speed when the driver ran off the shoulder of the road and hit a utility pole.
Police said the car crossed all lanes of Taylor Boulevard after hitting the pole before hitting another car that was driving southbound.
