ELBERT COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting deputies with the Elbert County Sheriff's Office with a death investigation.

The incident occurred in the Pulliam Mill Road area of Dewy Rose, leaving the road closed at Saddler Road and Floyd Road.

Deputies said three people were shot, and the GBI was requested to assist in the investigation.

Deputies were called to reports of a male being shot near Martin Villa Drive and Pleasant Hill Road. A male victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
