Fresno State President Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval will see a 10% increase to his base salary following approval from the California State University Board of Trustees last month.
Jiménez-Sandoval’s annual base salary will rise from $476,015 to $523,617, making him the fifth-highest paid president among the 18 CSU universities with permanent leaders.
Driving the news: In addition to the salary bump, Jiménez-Sandoval will be eligible for a new “at-risk performance pay” category. If performance goals tied to CSU’s strategic priorities are met, he and other eligible campus presidents could receive incentive pay ranging from 5% to 15% of their base salaries.
