WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.(WLFI) -A beloved Purdue tradition is well underway. Monday, the Purdue Memorial Union had its Christmas tree delivered right inside the lobby.
This year's PMU Christmas tree is big, green, and beautiful.
"It's fun to see a great, big tree, a beautiful tree being on display and for Christmas and for celebration," said Cheryl Cohen.
Soon to be decorated, the tree was brought into the PMU and pulled up by a team of numerous individuals.
Darrell Smith has been part of the tree delivery for 35 years. It's a special tradition he looks forward to sharing with students.
Smith said, "I love working at Purdue, I love the building. I've been in this building since I've been here. They take care of me and I try what I can to pass it down."
