GRANT COUNTY, Wash. -- The Grant County Sheriff's Office is warning you about charity scammers this holiday season.
Charity scammers will often ask for cash, gift cards, cryptocurrency or wire transfers for a charity, but refuse to send information about the charity.
The scammers will often pressure you to donate right away and might even lie and say you already made a pledge to donate.
The Grant County Sheriff's Office says if you come across one of these scammers, tell them to send you information by mail and don't trust your caller ID.
If the caller asks for cash, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or a wire transfer, it is a scam.
