The Santa Maria Philharmonic will host the Baroque Season Concert, an annual holiday favorite, on Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Santa Maria.
The evening will feature Respighi's Ancient Airs and Dances Suite No. 3, a collection of elegant courtly dances that will transport us to another era. Lauridsen's O Magnum Mysterium, a stunning contemporary sacred work that offers a reflective meditation on the Nativity, will also be performed by the orchestra.
