Burton junior quarterback Kayden Patterson was named the District 13-2A Division II offensive most valuable player.

Patterson headlines a group of 16 Panthers who earned all-district honors, as announced by the program on Monday. Eight players earned all-district accolades on both offense and defense after a 5-2 district season, which included two forfeit victories.

Patterson significantly improved as a dual-threat quarterback in his junior season. He racked up 1,163 total yards and 22 touchdowns in district play.

The junior ran for 610 yards and 15 touchdowns on 83 carries. He recorded at least 100 yards and three touchdowns on four occasions in Burton’s five-game district slate.

His best rushing game came against Granger, when he ran for 166 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries.
