EARLIMART, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman is dead after being hit by a car during a domestic violence dispute, the Tulare County Sheriff's Office says.

Deputies responded to a call about a car hitting someone in the area of State and Sutter Street in Earlimart.

When they arrived, they found a woman who had been hit by a car.

She was taken to the Delano Hospital, where she died from her injuries.

Deputies learned the incident was related to a domestic dispute and arrested 28-year-old Benjamin Rodriguez at the scene.
