Cyber Monday was expected to be the biggest sales day of the year for online retailers, and no one is bigger or busier online than Amazon.

The world's largest online retailer midway through Cyber Monday said it was already managing a huge surge in orders and was bringing in hundreds of seasonal workers to meet the demand.

At the company's Fremont delivery station, Site Manager Adam Carr told NBC Bay Area: "We are seeing record-breaking volume since Black Friday. We’re doing 100,000 packages a day delivered in the Bay Area, and normally at this station, it’s 65,000. So that’s quite a big difference."
