Coppell pushed North Crowley to the limit last season in the playoffs, with the Panthers able to survive on their way to the Class 6A Division I state championship.

The Cowboys were hoping to pull the upset again on Saturday, but this time, it was North Crowley who remained in control on its way to a 56-21 victory in a Class 6A Division I Region I semifinal game at the Midlothian ISD Athletics Complex.
