COLUMBUS, Ohio (WOIO) - There were eight fatal crashes across the Thanksgiving holiday leading to 11 deaths according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP). This is the same amount of fatalities seen in 2024.
According to OSHP, two of the deaths were OVI related with at least three not wearing seatbelts.
Highway Patrol says they made 281 arrests for impaired driving and 38 for drug-related charges.
Cuyahoga County had the fifth most incidents across the state, with the most cases coming from Lorain County.
