Governor Bill Lee and First Lady Maria Lee kicked off the holiday season Monday with the annual Christmas at the Capitol celebration, complete with the state Christmas tree lighting and the announcement of this year’s “Light of the World” tours at the Tennessee Residence.

Governor Lee said the season is a time to reflect and give back.

“Maria and I look forward to continuing the Tennessee tradition of generosity throughout the holiday season,” Lee said. “We invite Tennesseans to join us in giving back as we reflect on our many blessings and prepare our hearts to receive the ultimate gift, the birth of Christ.”

This year’s Christmas at the Capitol event included performances by The King’s Academy Choir, the 129th Army Band, and a visit from Santa.
