PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - The City of Pueblo announced Monday afternoon that it has received an award of more than $15 million in federal grants to replace the city’s current diesel buses with hybrid buses.
According to the city, Pueblo received $15,687,944 from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Buses & Bus Facilities Program and Low-or No-Emission (LWNO) Program.
The Colorado Department of Transportation also reportedly plans to put forward $3.9 million in planning funds, which the city said is the necessary non-Federal match.
