It’s not the lineup head coach David Levitch envisioned a week ago, but the North Oldham High School boys basketball team was unfazed Monday night in its season opener.

Eighth grader Pierre Rondo scored 29 points as the host Mustangs crushed Ballard 75-54 in a battle of top-15 teams .

On Saturday, Levitch confirmed sophomore guard Austin Sears — voted the Eighth Region’s top player in a preseason poll — has transferred to Montgomery County.
