GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - A Cocke County attorney has been charged in Greene County after she reportedly appeared to be intoxicated while speaking to correctional staff.

According to an incident report from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, staff at the Greene County Detention Center said an attorney, identified as Charlotte Leibrock, of Newport, tried to see a client and appeared to be under the influence before leaving the jail on Sunday.

Just before 6 p.m., an officer pulled Leibrock over at West Main Street and Reaves Lane after she was seen driving 10 miles per hour below the speed limit and caught crossing the center line five times.

When the officer approached Leibrock, the report said she was anxious and said, “I’m okay. I’m sober. I promise you.” without the officer quest
