Patriots first-round rookie Will Campbell was placed on injured reserve this week after suffering a devastating injury.

Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer offered some intel ahead of New England’s matchup with the New York Giants on “Monday Night Football.”

“Well, he’s not out for the year, but this is a very significant injury,” Breer said while appearing on NBC Sports Boston’s pregame coverage . “He has a Grade 3 MCL sprain. That essentially means his MCL is torn. It’s a four-to-six week injury.”
