More than a dozen apartments were damaged and several families were forced from their homes on Monday after a massive fire in Holyoke, Massachusetts.

First responders arrived at the scene at an apartment complex on Clemente Street around 4:15 p.m.

The exact number of people displaced is still being determined, but the fire chief told Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra that 16 apartments in two buildings were rendered uninhabitable.

The flames grew in a matter of minutes, according to neighbors, who shared videos of the blaze.
