LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - With the fresh snowfall Monday morning, it made the perfect conditions to grab a sled and have some family fun at Pioneers Park.
“Last year, the last couple years, we haven’t really had too many chances,” said Tim Flesner, sledder at Pioneers Park. “I think we got out here once and most of the snow was gone. So today, today we wanted to get out here for sure.”
Lincoln Public Schools didn’t have school on Monday, and not because of the snow but for a planning day for teachers. That didn’t stop kids from treating it like a snow day.
“I was in my grandfather’s closet and then I asked my grandfather if I could use it and he said I could keep it,” said Jenaro Ponce, sledder. “And the best things about this, it could go fast and it can steer.“
