MINNEAPOLIS, Mn. --- To be honest, I'm still warming up for Saturday afternoon. For four hours, I filmed the Battle for the Axe during a bad blizzard. But still, that feeling was nowhere near as cold as the Badgers felt on their way home. Their loss to Minnesota finished a 4-8 season and marked their fifth straight loss in a trophy game, missing a bowl game in consecutive seasons for the first time since the early 90s.

"This isn't the expectation. And everybody understands that. Everybody knows that. But nonetheless, it is what it is right now. And it is what we have made. So we know, more than anything, that we have to grow, we have to move forward. We have to build on the positive things that we do have. And that's the only thing we can do," Luke Fickell said.
