GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Alachua County officials have extended their burn ban through Tuesday, December 9.

The ban was previously set to expire on Tuesday, December 2.

Six other North Central Florida counties also have burn bans in place: Baker, Bradford, Citrus, Gilchrist, Lafayette, and Union counties.
