Norwell climbed another spot to No. 2 in the latest IBCA girls poll, which was released Sunday. The Knights (7-1) received two first-place votes, and Lawrence Central (5-0) received the other 20. Homestead (6-1) remains No. 4 and Warsaw (6-1) climbed a spot to No. 6. Columbia City (6-2) also received votes.

In the boys poll, Homestead jumped into the rankings at No. 20 despite not playing a game yet. The Spartans received votes in the preseason poll. Columbia City (1-0), Bishop Luers (0-0), Blackhawk Christian (1-0), Snider (0-0), New Haven (1-0) and Warsaw (0-0) all received votes in this week's poll.
