LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - Two people were hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash in Linn County Monday night.

At approximately 6:07 p.m., authorities responded to a personal injury accident on West Mount Vernon Road near O’Connor Road.

Police say a 20-year-old driver traveling westbound lost control and collided with a 44-year-old driver’s eastbound vehicle. A third vehicle, driven by a 25-year-old, then rear-ended the 20-year-old’s car after failing to stop in time.

The 20-year-old and 44-year-old drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 25-year-old was uninjured.
