WASHINGTON — Transportation crews across the DMV are preparing for possible snowfall ahead of Tuesday's morning commute.

Near I-95 in Virginia, crews finished pre-treating main roads and highways earlier Monday, with additional crews arriving Monday night to stage on local roads ahead of any winter weather.

In the District, officials told WUSA9 that 10 trucks will be deployed overnight to pre-treat roads across the city.

"The main focus is those bridges, those ramps to the bridges, and then the overpasses; those are areas that will freeze first," said Warnique West, the citywide snow coordinator.

West said two trucks will operate in each quadrant, with two additional trucks available for support. On major corridors, teams will work in tandem.
