A dog walker has described how she was left crying and in pain following a low-speed hit-and-run after she urged the rider of a quad bike in a park to slow down.
Professional dog walker Mary Doig, known as Frankie, was walking three canines through Drinkwater Park in Prestwich when she spotted a van arrive which appeared to have three men, a boy and a toddler on board. She says she later saw them riding a quad bike and a motorbike around the country park.
Frankie, a former Treasury official, said she asked them to slow down as they were spooking the dogs and then she continued her walk through the park. Moments later she said the quad bike - being ridden by the man who had also had the toddler on board - approached her from behind.
