The Baltimore area has several chances of snow and wintry mixes this week.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for portions of the region. Areas of Carroll, Baltimore and Harford counties could see snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches from 3 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to the NWS. Precipitation will likely start as snow before changing over to rain. In northwest Howard County, the forecast calls for a wintry mix with snow and sleet as well as potentially a glaze of ice.
