EXCLUSIVE : Banijay UK has launched legal action against Caryn Mandabach over a disputed tax bill after buying out the Peaky Blinders producer’s company last year.

Banijay acquired Caryn Mandabach Productions Limited in June 2024 , giving it control over the BAFTA-winning Peaky Blinders brand. Financial terms were not disclosed at the time, but a recent Banijay financial filing revealed that it agreed to pay a total of £14.7M ($19.4M) for Mandabach’s company, which was renamed Garrison Drama Limited, a nod to the Shelby family’s favored pub.
