A Scots woman was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer after doctors initially told her it was a pulled muscle. ‌

Lorna McNaughton , from Edinburgh, started experiencing pain in her rib and went for an x-ray - which showed no sign of anything sinister. ‌

Medics thought the 45-year-old may have pulled a muscle in her ribs and prescribed her painkillers, but the discomfort continued. ‌

Lorna then found a lump in her right breast and was transferred to the breast clinic , and was given a mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy.

The results showed the cancer had spread to her rib and lymph nodes , and Lorna was tragically diagnosed with secondary breast cancer.
