Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing across the country on Friday, December 5. Snow is forecast to hit Aberystwyth, Wales, at 3pm, before travelling up to , Scotland, by 6pm the same day.
While one inch of snow is expected to fall sporadically across Scotland, the south west of Scotland is to have a gloomier front with severe rain. This is also expected to hit Northern Ireland.
The has issued rain warnings leading up to Friday, with some brighter spells in between. Southern England, the West Midlands, and the North West of England are also set to face harsh conditions.
The blizzard conditions are also set to hit the country for up to on December 15, with chances of hill snow in the north until December 30. This comes as an Arctic weather front hits the country.
