LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol arrested 24 impaired drivers from the road during Thanksgiving weekend.

From Nov. 26 through Nov. 30, troopers arrested 24 people for driving under the influence.

“Last weekend’s winter weather created an additional challenge for many families traveling across the state,” said Colonel Bryan Waugh, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol. “As the holiday season continues our troopers will continue to be on the road ready to keep families safe as they travel to and from their holiday destinations.”

In addition to the 24 people arrested for driving under the influence, troopers issued 363 citations for speeding, 11 citations for no seat belt, five citations for improper child restraint and six citations for minor in possess
