Christian Sherman posted two goals and five assists to lead Nutley-Columbia-Bloomfield in a 7-4 season-opening win over Montclair Kimberley, in Essex County Codey Arena in West Orange.

Abel Grimaldi added two goals and two assists for Nutley (1-0), while Ryan Coon also scored twice.

Angelo Albanese contributed a goal to the win while Trevor Romonowski tallied two assists. Aiden Rosamilia finished with 37 saves.

Ethan Kilcullen scored twice and recorded one assist for MKA (0-1). Ethan Frey and Owen DuHaime each scored for MKA while Adrian Canizares recorded a pair of assists and James Bronson finished with 44 saves.
