Flood alerts have been updated and reissued for rivers in and around Gloucestershire after recent heavy rainfall.

More bursts of heavy rain are forecast this week in the county, but there are currently no weather warnings announced by the Met Office.

The Environment Agency has put flood alerts (flooding is possible, be prepared) on the River Severn and River Wye in Gloucestershire.

It says that river levels are rising due to overnight rainfall and flooding could continue over the next few days.

In the Met Office forecast for the next few days, heavy rain is forecast in the early hours of Thursday from 1am to 4am and Friday from 4pm to midnight.
