Murder investigation launched as Bristol uni student dies View Image

A murder investigation has been launched after a student at a university in Bristol was found with serious injuries and later died in hospital.

Vijay Kumar, 30, was found on Barbourne Road, Worcester, at around 4.15am on Tuesday, November 25.

Vijay, who BristolLive understands to be a student at a university in Bristol, died later that day and West Mercia Police arrested five men on suspicion of murder. They have been released on bail.

Vijay's family issued a statement which said he "filled our lives with warmth".

The family said: "Vijay brought energy, joy and laughter and filled our lives with warmth. Life was never dull with him around.

"Even in hard times, his spirit was unbreakable — he lived with purpose,
