10,000 food vouchers are set to be handed out in the Midlands - thanks to the Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ) Household Support Fund. Nottingham City Council will be helping city residents again by providing another £1 million.

The money has been granted to the East Midlands local authority through the Labour Party and DWP's Household Support Fund (HSF). Another 10,000 vouchers worth £100 will be available for residents to apply for in the next application window from 10am on 1 December to midnight on 7 December.

Residents can apply for these even if they have already received a voucher from the HSF scheme since April 2025. Changes have been made to how residents can access Supermarket and Energy vouchers which will enable more people to apply and receive support
