JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Greater Johnstown School District board has officially empowered administrators to seek approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Education to reopen the former Garfield Middle School in Johnstown’s West End.
The action received unanimous approval at Monday’s regular meeting and represents another step by the district to begin using the historic building again. A multi-phase rehabilitation project has already been approved, with The Efficiency Network carrying out those improvements. ×
