Met Office snow maps have laid bare exactly where snow will hit this week - with all four Home Nations set for flurries from England and Wales to Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Maps and charts show flurries spreading across the UK on December 5, with Friday evening earmarked as the period where flurries start. South west England faces flurries initially, alongside Wales and Northern Ireland.

By 9pm, light to moderate snow is expected across Scotland, with counties in England at risk including Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Staffordshire , Cumbria, Staffordshire, Northumberland and Durham.
