A 32-year-old man is dead after what police believe was a “targeted” late-night shooting in the Country Hills area in south Kitchener.

Waterloo Regional Police said they are searching for suspects in the Monday shooting, which occurred at approximately 10 p.m. in the area of Century Hill Drive and Country Hill Drive.

Police said when officers arrived on the scene they found the deceased man, from Kitchener, suffering from gunshot wounds.

A large police presence remains in the area and police are asking the public to avoid the area.
