FAYETTEVILLE -- Ryan Silverfield spent a chunk of his first 36 hours as head football coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks pumping up the program, adding staff and hammering recruiting.
A good thing for him is he didn't harp on a "hammer down" on the gas pedal in the left lane messaging strategy as launched by one of his predecessors, which came back to bite Chad Morris in a big way less than a decade ago.
But Silverfield made pledges nevertheless.
Speaking on "The Chuck & Bo Show" in Northwest Arkansas and "Morning Mayhem" with ex-Razorback David Bazzel on Little Rock's KABZ-FM on Monday, Silverfield touted a quick turnaround for Arkansas football and discussed the style of play he intends to bring.
