Jodie Comer's 1990s-set series inspired by a true story has just been added to a new streaming platform in the UK. Originally airing on E4 between 2013 and 2015, My Mad Fat Diary is now available to stream on Prime Video .
The series, inspired by the book of the same name by author Rae Earl, follows a teenager struggling with body image, mental health and relationships.
Rae is played by Sharon Rooney in the series, with Comer playing her best friend Chloe, who is unaware of Rae's issues. Cast is rounded out by Claire Rushbrook as Rae's mum Linda, Ian Hart as the teen's therapist Kester Gill and Nico Mirallegro as her love interest, Finn.
Rooney, who has more recently been seen in Daddy Issues alongside Aimee Lou Wood, has received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Rae .
