JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – Adam Thomas expects between 2,600 and 3,000 deer to be processed throughout the various 2025-26 hunting seasons at his Thomas Smoked Meats facility.

So far, about 1,400 does and bucks combined have been brought to the location in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County. There were 900 in archery and muzzleloader seasons and 500 during the first 2 1/2 days of the regular firearms period that started Saturday and is scheduled to last until Dec. 13. ×
