DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A Davenport man is facing a first-degree murder charge after a stabbing.
Crews responded to a report of suspicious activity at about 6:30 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of East Locust Street, police said.
When crews arrived, police said they found a 52-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man both with stab wounds.
Police said the woman died from her injuries. The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not identified the victims.
After an investigation, officers arrested Adrian M. Moreno Sr., 54, of Davenport. He’s charged with first-degree murder and willful injury causing serious injury.
Police said this does not appear to be a random act of violence.
