London is set to welcome the world's first pickled onion cocktail bar this week. Garner's Pickles, located at Bar Swift Shoreditch, will serve a world-first menu built entirely around pickled onions.

Pop sensation Dua Lipa has been hailed for sparking the craze. In 2024, she went viral on TikTok after adding pickle and jalapeño juice to a soft drink before taking a delighted sip.

Since then, numerous other recipes and clips have been posted highlighting the benefits of adding this unusual element to other liquids, with some recipes more successful than others.
