MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Jonathan Weinhagen, 42, also known as "James Sullivan," pled guilty to one count of mail fraud in U.S. District Court.

U.S. Attorney Daniel N. Rosen says Weinhagen defrauded the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Weinhagen, the former President and CEO of the Chamber, was accused of engaging in fraudulent activities from December 2019 through June 2024.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the State of Minnesota says:

- Weinhagen stole reward money intended for solving child murders, created fake consulting agreements, and opened a fraudulent line of credit. In May 2021, the Chamber contributed $30,000 to Crime Stoppers of Minnesota for rewards related to shootings in North Minneapolis. Weinhagen redirected these funds to his hom
