The Oklahoma City Public Schools Board of Education has given second-year district Superintendent Jamie Polk a $25,000 raise and extended her contract through the 2028-29 school year.
The board’s unanimous vote during a short special meeting on Monday, Dec. 1, concluded a process that drew attention to Polk’s pay level compared to those of her peers in other large Oklahoma districts.
After the board voted to approve the contract, district officials refused to provide a copy of it, saying it had not yet been signed. Polk declined to comment when approached by reporters following the meeting. But the district confirmed Polk received the $25,000 raise in base salary, raising her annual base salary to $275,000.
